The vocation and commitment of Unicaja, through the Unicaja Ronda Foundation, has crystallized in a unique project, in which different and valuable circumstances converge: on the one hand, dedicating this museum in his native Ronda, to the work and memory of Joaquín Peinado , and on the other, for having made the remodeling and revitalization of the noble Moctezuma palace a reality. The exhibition space, divided into two floors, follows a chronological and thematic exhibition design, with the exception of the Mudejar room, which, due to its noble hall stamp, houses the special works, both for their historical and plastic nature. The combination of oil paintings and drawings gives agility to the spaces and the themes, at the same time that it is possible to give great coherence to the author&#39;s work, since many of the drawings are authentic investigations, but others are preparatory works for well-known canvases by Peinado, some present in the Museum&#39;s collection. On October 30, 2012, the exhibition Picasso, Ceramist and Engraver was inaugurated, which under the heading &quot;Guest Artist&quot; allows to contemplate a sample of 49 original works by the great Malaga artist Pablo Picasso , including a representative selection of the famous Suite Vollard. These works become part of the permanent collection of the Unicaja Joaquín Peinado Museum.
